Volunteer Online Training

Meals on Wheels Queensland, in partnership with Environmental Health Australia, is proud to offer the I'M ALERT food safety training course. This interactive program is designed to equip volunteers with essential food safety knowledge, ensuring that our meals are prepared in the safest manner possible.

The I'M ALERT course is accessible to anyone interested in improving their food safety skills. It is tailored for those working in kitchen environments and is considered the minimum requirement by Councils and Environmental Health Officers (EHO's) across Australia.

• Duration: The full course takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

• Certification: Upon completion, participants can print out their own certificate, complete with the Queensland Meals on Wheels logo, signifying their knowledge and commitment to food safety.

Participants have the flexibility to choose how much of the course they wish to complete:

• Full Course: Complete all modules for a comprehensive understanding and receive a full certificate.

• Selective Modules: Opt to complete specific sections, which will take less time and earn a “Training Acknowledgement Form.” This form is a valuable addition to any employee record.
